ABOUT JEFF
Passion
An energy fueled by emotion. It's 5 a.m. and Jeff is up and at 'em looking forward to the coming day! Jeff has a passion for living that was instilled from his parents, Allen & Joan Gunn. They choose to raise their family in the quiet farming community of Harbor Beach, Michigan. One caution light and no chain restaurants should give you an idea of the quaintness of this small hamlet, which is best known for the world's "Greatest Man Made Harbor". Jeff has two younger sisters (Janelle & Allison) and one younger brother, Brian. He enjoyed playing baseball, basketball and football with his friends. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father and brother. But growing up was not just fun and games for the Gunn boys.
Mr. Gunn put Jeff and Brian to work on the family farm where they hoed beans, picked stones, cleared fence line and tended to the following crops: navy beans, wheat and corn. Jeff also worked at his dad's tool and die shop, first cleaning the shop (cleaning the bathrooms was the day's highlight), then running the shipping department and finally operating an I.D. grinder when he got older. Jeff learned the importance and rewards of hard work as well as his belief and passion in the American Dream from his father.
Perspective
Jeff tries to be Christian "Christ like" in his daily activities. He believes in right and wrong. Jeff always tries to communicate openly and honestly with his clients and others. Jeff does what he says he is going to do. He tries to live each day with the proper perspective.
Persistence
"Patience and persistence are the keys to success." By Arthur Lydiard, coach of Olympic champions. Patience is a virtue that Jeff is still working on but he is very persistent. He used that persistence to reduce his 2 mile time from 12:20 to 9:40. It also helped him to graduate with honors from Central Michigan University with a bachelors degree in business administration. After participating in track and cross country at CMU he fueled his passion for competition in duathlons and later bicycle racing and hold 'em tournaments.
Jeff had a dream to become a professional cyclist and moved to Greenville in 1994. He raced up to 70 times a year ranging from the windy, rolling hill country in Texas to the severe mountains in Tennessee, W. Virginia and Vermont. Jeff and his teammates tasted the sweet nectar of victory and swallowed the bitter pill of defeat. Today, Jeff stays active by working out three times a week at Furman's physical activities center and by riding his bike.
Professional
Jeff believes things should be done in a proper, professional manner. To him this means using your passion, perspective and persistence to create a win-win situation for his real estate clients and himself. Jeff feels that selling a house is a team effort between himself, his team members and his client. He believes honesty, hard work and specialization best serve his client's needs.
Communication is the cornerstone of his business. He strives to contact his clients weekly to let them know what is going on with market conditions, the marketing for their home and the feedback received from home showings. Jeff has, and is continuing to refine, a successful marketing plan and home selling process that meets and surpasses his client's needs.
